Excelsior New York Joins TLfC: Press Release

ree

The League for Clubs (TLfC) is excited to announce the addition of Excelsior New York for the 2026 season.

Excelsior New York is based in Jamaica Bay, Queens, and will play its home matches at York College Athletic Complex. The club was founded in 2023 and has fielded youth teams since its inception. The addition of a men’s program in 2025 will provide local talent with a pathway to first team soccer.

“Joining The League for Clubs is an exciting step for Excelsior New York and our community as it allows our local talent to be showcased on a national stage,” said president and co-founder Giuseppe Ilarda. “TLfC puts clubs and their local supporters at the heart of their foundation. This aligns perfectly with our mission to build something lasting, meaningful and rooted right here in Queens, New York.”

Excelsior New York is the third club based in New York City to join TLfC’s roster, joining national champions Met Oval Academy and Brooklyn City F.C., who will also be in their first TLfC season in 2026.

The League for Clubs completed its inaugural season in 2025 with 47 clubs and six conferences across all four time zones in the contiguous United States. Its mission is to bring a club-friendly platform that encourages sustainability and collaboration. To learn more about The League for clubs, visit TLfC’s official website —
