Tryout Form

The goal of the Excelsior NY Academy Travel Program is to provide youth soccer players in the Jamaica Bay area an elite local club where they can develop their skills and passion for the game. The goal of the Academy is to provide players with a pathway to reach their goals, on and off the field. The Academy is also crucial for developing homegrown players for our first team in the future.

Tryouts are for players born 2011-2020. Players will be placed in their appropriate age group for tryout sessions.

The gender breakdown for the different age groups below is as follows:

Boys born 2011 to 2020

Girls born 2015 to 2019

Tryouts will be take place across the month of May. Tryout dates will be May 12, May 16, and May 19. Tryouts will also be held on May 18 and May 25. There may be more dates for tryouts to be announced in the future. For those not able to make tryouts on those dates, please email excelsiornyacademy@gmail.com for more information.

Players must be dressed in appropriate soccer/athletic wear to ensure safe participation for themselves and other players(Exp. shirt, shorts, soccer socks, shin guards, and cleats/turfs). Players should also bring plenty of water and a pumped soccer ball. All players should be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entirety of the tryout.

After tryouts, the club will communicate with all players regarding their status. Players who are accepted will be given the opportunity to immediately join the program. Players who are given an extended tryout opportunity will be asked to continue the tryout process at the clubs discretion. Players who are not accepted will be invited to join our Player Development Program and are encouraged to try out again at future try outs.
